Aberdeen in Recovery (AiR) launch their new Activity Timetable

We know, through our own lived and living experiences, that boredom and isolation are addiction’s best friend, bed fellows and closest companions.

So, AiR, the first nationally recognised Lived Experienced Recovery Organisation (LERO) in the North East of Scotland, are super excited and immensely proud to announce the roll out of our programme of groups, meetings, recovery and awareness learning and training opportunities.

These being provided for individuals who have personal experience of problematic substance use as well as family members who have been affected by the addictive behaviours of a loved one, with the aim of combating both isolation and boredom by providing meaningful routine, a full range of recovery options and interactive opportunities to fill an individual’s day.

All the provided events and opportunities are delivered and facilitated by AiR Recoverist members while being mentored and supported by staff and colleagues.

All these activities, while complying with relevant COVID guidance, will be delivered in three formats:

Virtually utilising conferencing software and technologies,

Onsite from our group rooms at the Credo Centre,

Hybrid this being a blended option of both face to face as well as providing the ability for those who cannot, or do not wish to, attend in person to participate in the same groups and learning opportunities online.

You can download a copy of the timetable here: May – June 2021 Timetable

There are plans, to be rolled out later in the year, to take some of these activities and training programmes into local community settings.
